Liberty – A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 am Sat. Aug. 15, 2015 in St. Anthony of Padua Church for Joseph A. Rebraca, 81 who died at Select Specialty Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. Joe was the son of Joseph A. and Nadine Michaels Rebraca who was born Sept. 25, 1933 in Youngstown. He was a 1951 graduate of the Rayen School and served his country in the US Army from July 12, 1956 to July 10, 1958. As a steel worker he was employed at Van Huffel Steel Co. from 1966-1984. While working toward retirement from 1985-1995 he worked at Gasser Chair Co. He was a member of the church and its pizza workers, a member of the school booster club, and helped coach school sports while his sons were enrolled there. As a huge sports fan Joe followed the Cleveland Browns, the Cleveland Indians, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Masters Tournament. He is survived by his wife, the former Eleanor “Dolly” Ross, his sons; Jeff of Liberty, Ross J. (Shelly) of Leesburg VA, and Jimmy of Columbus and his two grandchildren; Jillian and Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends may call Fri. from 5-8 PM and Sat. from 9-10 AM in Schiavone Funeral Home. Burial will be in Belmont Park Cemetery.
