Bartlesville, OK – Services will be held on Mon. June 1, 2015 at 1:30 pm in Schiavone Funeral Home for Michael R. Sefcik Jr., 59 who died Thurs. May 21, 2015 at his residence. Mike was born on April 15, 1956 in Youngstown, a son of Michael R. and Ann Di Muzio Sefcik Sr. He graduated from Chaney High School in 1974 where he lettered in track and football and was All City for two years. After he graduated, Mike attended Hiram College for 3 ½ years before moving to Nowata, OK in 1978. He worked for the Phillips Co. for a number of years then, started his own business. Mike took an interest in the Native American Culture and attended many pow wows.  He loved gardening and received many blue ribbons from the county fair in Bartlesville for his fruits and vegetables which he shared with many of his friends to enjoy eating. Every year Mike donated his hair to cancer patients and enjoyed his family reunions with all of his family. He is survived by his parents, his sister, Karen (Bryant)Dulany; brother, Robert (Denise) Sefcik; brother, Ronald Sefcik; brother, Mark (Cherie) Sefcik; sister, Linda (Greg) Koltas; many aunts and uncles, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Anna Di Muzio and John and Anna Sefcik and many aunts and uncles. Calling hours will be from 4-7 pm on Sat. May 30 and from 1-1:30 pm on Mon. June 1 in Schiavone Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the funeral home at 1842 Belmont Ave. Youngstown, OH 44504 to defray funeral expenses.
