Rose M. (Martino) Bartlomain

Girard -A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday Feb. 15, 2016 in St. Rose Church for Rose M. Martino Bartlomain who lost her battle with cancer early Friday morning surrounded by her family.

 Rose was born Sept. 8, 1936 in Youngstown, to her parents, Joseph and Carmel DiTillo Martino. She attended Youngstown College with a focus in the Health field and worked for Park Vista and a veterinary clinic on Belmont Ave. As a homemaker Rose dedicated herself to her family whom she loved very deeply and whom she was very proud of. Rose was a member of the church, Past Matron of the Sunrise Chapter of the Eastern Star, and president of the Girard – Liberty Kiwanis. She was an avid bowler who participated in tournaments at Northside Lanes, Kay Lanes, and McKinley Lanes and also enjoyed Bingo, the casinos, and traveling. One highlight being a Royal Caribbean Cruise she took with her late husband. Rose is survived by two daughters; Pam (Sam) Maluso of Maumee and Michelle (Chap) Haviland of Girard, two sons; Tony Bartlomain of Liberty and Vince Bartlomain of Girard, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a sister; Melanie Martino Weekley of Florida and a brother; Joseph Martino of Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband; Joseph who died Nov. 9, 2006, son; Michael who died Oct. 15, 1971; and two sisters; Ester Martino Pebles and Sylvia Martino Donnelly. Calling hours will be held on Sun. Feb. 14 from 2-5 pm and on Mon. Feb. 15 from 9:30-10:30 am in Schiavone Funeral Home.
