Rose G. Pandone

June 24, 1938 ~ November 4, 2016 (age 78) 78 Years Old

Austintown – Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there lies a trail of precious memories. Rosemary G. Pandone, daughter of Marjorie and Hubert Morgan Gengenbacher entered eternal rest Friday, Nov.4, 2016. Rose was born in Youngstown on June 24, 1938 and was a 1956 graduate of Chaney High School. She married John Patrick Pandone, the love of her life on November 15, 1958 in St. Brenden Church. They spent 54 wonderful years together. Rose is survived by two daughters; Denise Anne (Jeffrey) Lancaster and Christine Anne Pandone, “daughter number three”; Lisa Loncar, Her grandchildren, Jon who Rose raised and loved will miss her dearly, James who loved her home cooking, Lexie and Kayla who loved swimming and baking with grandma Rose, Great granddaughter Eva Rose, loved swimming, sewing and baking sugar cookies with grandma Rose, her siblings; John (Rebecca) Gengenbacher, James Gengenbacher (deceased), Mary Gessner, Carol Harvischak, Mary Jo (Larry) Sheets, and Kathie (Mitch) Cerny and cousin Sue Pratt. Rose leaves 16 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews. Rose was known for her famous sugar cookies, cream puffs, tapioca pudding and many other wonderful Italian dishes. Rose was a self-taught seamstress, and excelled in all she made. She practiced a remarkable Christian faith nurtured at St. Brendan Church.  Rose most loved being the wife of John and the mother of Denise and Christine. She served as PTO president, brownie leader, keeper of her tomato garden and kind soul to everyone.  The door was always open to anyone who stopped by and she willingly shared her talents.  She was an active member of the Saxon Club and The Fraternal Order of Eagles. The ladies of the “Flowering Crabs” so named by John Pandone planted many beautiful flowers at Fellows Riverside Garden. Family and friends will gather to say a final goodbye, as Rose goes to join John, at St Christine Church on Tuesday the 8th of November between 10 and 11AM.  A mass will follow.  Parking will be in the church’s Canfield Rd lot.  In lieu of flowers Rose would like any monetary donations given to the St Christine Adopt a Student fund 3165 S. Schenley Ave. Youngstown, OH 44509 to further the Catholic education of any child who would like to attend St Christine’s.
