Caroline V. Schuster

Liberty-Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 1PM in Schiavone Funeral Home for Caroline V. Schuster, 95 with the Rev. Burl Jernigan of the First Baptist Church of Girard presiding. Caroline died on Sunday at her residence with her family by her side consoling one another. She was the daughter of George and Ann Hatinfield Manley who are both deceased. On April 16, 1921 Caroline was born in Philadelphia and came to this area in 1979. She was a homemaker and worked as an apartment manager for 20 years. From 1948-1963 Caroline was married to James E. Cogan (deceased) and from 1963-1973 she was married to Elmer C. Schuster (also deceased). She was active in her church and enjoyed baking, gardening, Bingo, games of chance, and playing cards. To cherish her memory and principles she leaves her daughter; Patricia (Jack) Linzey, her son; James (Judy) Cogan, her son-in-law Elmer (daughter Virginia deceased) Bliss, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren along with her best friend; Sue Colbert and many others. Family and friends may call from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Churchill Cemetery at a later date.
