A prayer service will be held Monday, Feb.25, 2019 at 5pm in Old North Church for Donna L. Adams, 94 who passed away Wednesday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Donna was born in Yatesboro, PA on November 26, 1924. She was a daughter of Charles and Mary Sacco Muff who moved to Youngstown in 1955. In her younger days she worked as a clerk in her Uncle’s Five and Dime store, then later waitressed in a number of local restaurants and provided domestic services and child care for a number of families in the Poland area. She later focused on being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a spectacular homemaker always making sure everything was done to the best of her ability for everyone. She was a former member of St. Rocco Episcopal Church and member of the Red Hat Society. Donna enjoyed music, dancing, lottery, bingo, crafting, ceramics, baking, and was an avid bowler in a bowling league at Holiday Bowl. She is survived by her son, Charles T. (Patricia) Adams of Columbiana; her sister, Mary Ann Honkus of Nu Mine, PA; granddaughter, Kim (Jeff) Wem of Youngstown; grandson, Charles T. (Laura) Adams II of Oakland, NJ; grandson, Patrick (Rhonda) Adams of Canfield; great grandchildren, Bobby Nutt, Miranda, Michael, Shawn, and Faith Adams and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William L. (Lee) Adams whom she married Nov. 16, 1944 died in 1989; her brother, Thomas Muff and four sisters, Florence Brokaw, Rose Hendrickson, Pauline Stanavich, and Caroline Daquilanto. Family and friends will gather from 3-5pm before the service in church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Children’s Mission of Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
