Liberty-There will be a gathering of family and friends Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 from 4-7pm at Schiavone Funeral Home for sharing the life of Janet C. DiFrangia, 68 who died at Liberty Health Care Center Monday evening. Janet was born March 22, 1948 in Youngstown, a daughter of Alfred James Gousegh and Alsie I. Graffiuf Gousegh Fusco. She was an international flight attendant with American Airlines retiring with 33 years of service after the 9-11 tragedy brought her turbulent emotional turmoil. She was an animal activist and wildlife preserver with a shelter in her backyard for all animals. She was well read and well versed and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She was a sponsor and tour guide for her family members who traveled. On February 14, 2000, she married her 1966 Liberty High School prom date, Roger DiFrangia. Among others she also leaves two sisters; Lou Ann (Tommy) Taylor-Combs of Chesterton, IN and Tina (George) Fusco-Woitek of Liberty, a brother; Dr. Chris (Meredith) Fusco of Virginia Beach, VA, step father; Dr. John Fusco of Niles, two step sons; Roger (Erica) DiFrangia of Cranberry, PA and Mark DiFrangia of Austintown, three triplet grandchildren; Gabi, Gracie, and Derek DiFrangia, many nieces and nephews, and kitties; Parker, Lucy, and Zippy. Janet’s family would like to thank the staff at University Hospital Seidman Cancer Center, Dr. Jennifer Eads and nurses Kirstin, Cheryl, and Libby and the staff at Liberty Health Care Center and Windsor Rehabilitation and nurses; Gina, Monica, and Courtney, and staff member Agata. There will be an hour of reflection on Friday from 10-11am at the funeral home followed by burial in Belmont Park Cemetery.
