Adeline Tavolario

Adeline Tavolario, 91, affectionately called Lilly, died Wednesday, April 21.

Lilly was born in Youngstown on August 1, 1929 to Carmine and Faustina Tavolario. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Andrew Tavolario and Jack Tavolario, and sisters Rose Tavolario, Toni Mullins, and Maggie Rozzo; also, her faithful dog companions Sherry, Cindy, Missy, Gigi, and Dolly. Lilly left four generations of nieces and nephews, always remembering cards on their birthdays.

Lilly graduated in 1948 from North High School. She was an LPN at Saint Elizabeth's, caring for children. Her loving and caring attitude proved to be a lifelong passion as she cared for multiple family members including her sister Rose, her mother and father, and later in life her sister Maggie. Family was always a love and priority. This influenced Toni's daughters, Kara and Toni, to care for her in her later years.

Her attention to detail made her a diligent bookkeeper as she worked for Benedict Dental Supply, then the Doris Burdman Group, retiring in 1989.

In her retirement years, she made her home with her sister Maggie Rozzo. These two beautiful Catholic ladies were inseparable until Maggie's death in 2009. She was an active member of Saint Patrick's Parish in Hubbard, participating in the Altar and Rosary Society and Disciples of Mary. She frequently volunteered at Saint John the 23rd Nursing Home, visiting the elderly. Lilly was also a dedicated pizza worker at Saint Anthony's for many years.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Patrick's Parish in Hubbard on Monday, April 26, at 10:30. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the mass.
