McDonald - A mass of Christian burial will be said on Tuesday morning Oct. 29, 2013 at 11 A.M. in St. Anthony of Padua Church in Youngstown for Angeline "Angie" DiRenzo 96, who died Friday afternoon in Omni Manor West Nursing Home. Angeline was born Jan. 6, 1917 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Angeline Teish Dagroma. Angeline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family that she loved. Angeline had a brother Patsy and twin sisters Pauline and Virginia. She attended Stambaugh School and lived in Youngstown for 68 years before moving to McDonald for 23 years. She met her husband, the late Charles DiRenzo at a neighborhood party in 1934. They were such close neighbors that they even shared a backyard. They married a few years later, in 1936 and later renewed their wedding vows on Feb. 5, 1966 in St. Anthony of Padua Church where they were members. Together they had six children, all sons. Her hobbies include anything that went on in the kitchen. She learned how to make wedding soup and pizzelles from her cousin and loved making anything from bread and pizza to pasta and sauce. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, reading magazines, listening to her Italian music, and of course spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died Sept. 25, 1972, a son Charlie, and a brother. She leaves her sons; Christy, William, Ron, Ernie (Patricia), and Paul (Vickki), 11 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren to cherish her memory. Her family would like to thank the staff at Omni Manor especially Tierra and Annette, Hospice of the Valley, and a very special thank you to Dr. David Delliquadri for his excellent care. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of the Valley in Angeline's memory. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 5-8 and Tuesday morning from 9:45-10:45 at Schiavone Funeral Home.
