Anthony Larubbio

Youngstown-There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 1pm for Anthony LaRubbio, 90 who died Friday, December 2, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 19, 1926 in Youngstown and was a son of Maurizio and Josephine LaGuardia LaRubbio. "Tony" graduated from the Rayen School in 1944 and retired from the General Fireproofing Co. as an assembler in 1988. He was a member of the church and the Sons of Italy Lodge #1038. He enjoyed watching sports on television, gardening when living in Brier Hill, and dancing to the Big Bands at the Elms and Idora Park ballrooms. Tony will be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle to 11 nieces and nephews who loved and respected his kindness and generosity. He will be sadly missed by all his neighbors at Heritage Apartments who he considered part of his extended family. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, the former Madeline Popio whom he married December 4, 1971 died September 6, 2006, four brothers, Frank J., James J., Victor A., and Carl F. LaRubbio, and a nephew, Morris P. LaRubbio. Family and friends will gather one hour before the mass at the church.
