Anthony P. Palermo, 94
Liberty – Private services were held at Schiavone Funeral Home for Anthony P. Palermo, 94 who passed away Sept. 20, 2014 at Campus Health Care. Anthony was born March 5, 1920 in Mt. Morris, New York to his parents, Sebastian and Crucififfa Privitera Palermo. He graduated with a Masters Degree from Ohio University where he was a member of Alpha Phi Delta. He served on the Pacific Front Special Service as a Radioman and Tail Gunner in the US Marine Corp. during WWII. On July 12, 1947, he married Mary Frances Agnone and they spent 57 beautiful years together. Anthony taught American History for 12 years at YSU and for 30 years in Girard Schools. He leaves behind a daughter; Madeline Carlton of Deerfield, a son; Phillip Palermo of San Francisco, two sons-in-law; Charles Pamer and Ernest Stout, a granddaughter; Heather Carlton, a grandson; Christopher Turner, and three great-granddaughters.
