Youngstown– Friends and family are invited to celebrate the life of Betty Jane Lallo on Thursday, January 23, 2014. Betty passed away Saturday, January 18th at home, with her children and grandchildren at her side.
Born June 15th, 1930 in Youngstown, Betty lived 83 years. Betty is welcomed to heaven by her parents Rose and Joseph DelFratte, her brothers Anthony and Donald and sister Marie.
Betty was the bride of John Nicholas Lallo for 57 beautiful years. She was preceded in death by her husband, son John Kenneth and daughter in-law Diana (Ceo) Lallo. She is survived by her son Michael, daughter Lisa Cantillo (Julio); her beautiful grandchildren Melissa (Brian), Erica (Brian), John (Mackenzie), Samantha, Julian and Aidan; great-grandchildren Estella Marie, Robert Price, Kenneth Cade and Nicolo John.
Betty was passionate about bringing the family together, cooking and seeing the family enjoying it all. If she wasn't with the family she was planning on the next event. She was active for many years with the Alter and Rosary Society at St. Anthony's and the tradition of Friday pizza making. She also assisted in the family business (McRoyal Industries, Inc., Youngstown) working by her husband's side. She enjoyed social time with her girlfriends and the occasional game of chance.
Visitation for family and friends will take place at St. Anthony's, Thursday, January 23rdfrom 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by her funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow mass at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 1125 Turin Ave, Youngstown Ohio 44510.
