Carolyn M (Butch) Kaufman

Youngstown - Carolyn Matilda Butch Kaufman, 94, passed away peacefully at 8:00 pm, Saturday, January 23, 2016.
Carolyn was born in Youngstown on June 11, 1921 to Sam and Mary Fagnano Butch.
Carolyn was a member and supporter of St. Casimir Church, a long term volunteer at Easter Seals, and supported many non-profit organizations.
She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, baking, and gardening. She enjoyed travelling, the highlight being a trip to Israel she and her husband made.
She leaves behind her sister, Mary Butch; her brother, Dominic Castor; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Kaufman who died in 1984; her brothers, Steve Butch, Mike Butch, Sam Butch, Frank (Happy) Butch, and Vincent Butch; her sisters, Frances Butch, Katherine Butch, and Viola Cornish.
She was a kind, sweet woman, who always had time for friends and people in need. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Family and friends will gather Thur. Jan. 28 from 9 to 10:45am at Schiavone Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Anthony of Padua Church at 11am. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
