Cecelia J. DeNiclo, 90
Youngstown – Cecelia J. DeNiclo, a lifelong Westside area resident, passed away Thursday afternoon at the age of 90. She was born November 13, 1924, the daughter of Michael and Mary Fusco Sanders. On August 11, 1945 she married the late Leonard J. DeNiclo who passed away Nov. 9, 2008. Cecelia was a very quiet independent person who truly loved being a homemaker. Her love of cooking and her Italian heritage became a way of life for her. She enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, assembling jigsaw puzzles, and dogs. She especially liked being at home playing cards with her granddaughter, Monica. Cecelia will be dearly missed by her daughter Carol, son-in-law, Dominic, grandson, Dominic (Amanda), and granddaughter, Monica Mastropietro. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers; Thomas, Anthony, Alexander, Frank, Joseph, and Angelo Sanders and a sister, Ursula Olenick. A mass of Christian burial was held yesterday in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by a private burial in Calvary Cemetery.
