Charles G. Hoskins, 64
Youngstown - Charles Hoskins, 64, was relieved from his pain on Fri. July 4, 2014 surrounded by his family after fighting a courageous battle with colorectal cancer. He was born on February 5, 1950, in Youngstown, OH, the son of the late Harold and Rose Eanire Hoskins. He was a 1968 graduate of Chaney High School and attended ATES where he specialized in HVAC. Through the years, Charles worked as a security officer, maintenance worker, and legal courier until retiring in 2012. Charles enjoyed traveling, attending classic car shows, tinkering with his 1973 Ford Maverick, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was very involved in his children's lives; he enjoyed coaching soccer, attending sporting events and dance recitals, and being a band parent. Above all, he cherished spending time with his grandchildren, Alex, Graham, and Laura. He is survived by his wife, Julie (Petrella) Hoskins, whom he married August 25, 1979; daughter, Katie (David) Frank; son, Matthew (Stacey) Hoskins; brother, Harold V. Hoskins; sister, Penny (Chris) Hood; grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his niece and godchild, Amie Hoskins. Family and friends may visit Mon. July 7, 2014 from 4 to 7pm, at Schiavone Funeral Home, concluding with a funeral service. The family is very grateful for the support and care provided by the wonderful doctors and staff at Northside Medical Center, The Hope Center, University Hospital in Cleveland, and Briarfield Manor.
