Warren – A prayer service will be held at 11 am in Schiavone Funeral Home on Wed. June 10, 2015 for Cheryl E. Mayo, 68 who died early Friday afternoon. Cheryl was born in Youngstown on Sept. 3, 1946, a daughter of Pershing F. and Mary Bailey Whitacre. She was a 1964 Girard High School graduate and member of Lakewood Methodist Church. From 1965-1971 Cheryl worked on the line for Packard and from 1988-1995 she worked for Sears in the Eastwood Mall in the Hardware Department. She enjoyed Christmas time and displaying her Hallmark Christmas Collection as well as her Card Club and getting together with them to play cards and make crafts. Cheryl leaves a daughter; Sherry and her fiancé Jason Reinke, two grandsons; Jason and Nicholas, two brothers; Mickey E. and Fred S. Whitacre, and her former husband; Tom Mayo whom she was to from 1966-2003 . She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends and family may call on Tues. June 9, from 5-8 pm in Schiavone Funeral Home. Burial will follow the prayer service on Wed. in Lake Park Cemetery.
