Dolores "Dee" Lillo Hughes, 85
Boardman – A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Dominic Church on Mon., April 28, 2014 at 10:00am for Dolores Lillo Hughes who died Wed. April 23 at her home. Dee was born in Youngstown on Oct. 24, 1928, a daughter of Gaetano and Filippetta Fortunato Lillo. She attended The Rayen School and worked as a bank teller for Mahoning National Bank in downtown retiring after 27 years of service. On July 26, 1975, she married James G. Hughes. Dee enjoyed ceramics, casinos, and dancing. She was proud of Brier Hill and her Italian heritage and will always be remembered as a loyal and beloved member of her family. Dee is survived by her husband of 38 years, her daughter; Cheryl Michael, stepdaughter; Laura Hughes-Hudgins, stepson; Greg Hughes, four grandchildren, a great grandson, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her brothers; Vincent, Ernest J., Charles, and Carl G, her sisters; Josephine Saulino and Violet Zaccone, and her stepdaughter; Jeanette Hughes. Friends and family will gather Sunday from 2-4 pm at Schiavone Funeral Home and Monday morning from 9-10 am at the church. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Spratt and his staff for the years of care shown to Dee.
