Dorothy Ramunno Supek DeSalle, 92
Liberty - A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10:00 am on Tues. Aug. 5, for Dorothy Ramunno Supek DeSalle, 92 who passed away peacefully Fri. evening, Aug. 1, 2014. Dorothy was born Sept. 23, 1921 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Anthony and Fiorentina (Pitassi) Ramunno. Dorothy was a graduate of The Rayen School, an avid world traveler, thoroughly enjoyed golfing with her friends as well as attending the symphony at Powers Auditorium. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church all of her life and was a member of its Alter and Rosary Society. She was a member of OGA and attended the Adoration of the Holy Eucharist for 13 years at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Dorothy was a member of the Pacentrano Club and its auxiliary and many card clubs including Mahjong with her lady friends. She was a loving and fun aunt of more than 30 nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by Louis's children; Louis DeSalle Jr. of New York and Janet DeSalle (Carlos) Mendez who reside in Florida. Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband John 'Red' Supek to whom she was married for four years, died Oct. 28, 1962 and more recently, her second husband Louis V. DeSalle, whom she married Jan 10, 1971 died Nov. 15, 1997, sisters; Mary Battagline, Concetta D'Urso, Anne Rothwell, and Helen Manginelli, two brothers; Sylvester Ramunno and Joseph Ramunno, several nieces and nephews and Louis' other daughter; Victoria Landis. Family and friends will gather on Mon. Aug. 4, from 5-8 pm and from 8:45-9:45 am on Tues. Aug. 5 at Schiavone Funeral Home in Youngstown. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Animal Charities at 4140 Market St. in Dorothy's memory. The family would like to thank cousins, other family members, friends, and individuals at Victoria House for their loving care and concern.
