Dorothy Ridel

Youngstown- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at 10am in St. Columba Cathedral for Dorothy Ridel, 94 who passed away late Thursday. Dorothy was born in Youngstown on March 27, 1922 to her parents, Frank and Josephine Sartalamashia Pape. She was a 1940 graduate of the Rayen School and a member of the parish. Dorothy served as president of the American Business Woman's Association and secretary for both Ross Radio and the Medical Dental Bureau until retiring at 80 years old. She enjoyed baking and cooking and will be sadly missed. Dorothy is survived by her daughter; Linda Sullivan, her son; Joseph Ridel, her grandson, and her sister; Estella Krukovsky among others. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband; Norman Ridel Jr. who died Oct. 7, 1987, and her sisters; Genevieve Prystach and Irene Horvath. Friends and family will gather on Sunday, May 1, from 3-5pm and Monday, May 2 from 9-9:45 am in Schiavone Funeral Home. Burial will be in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
