Eva Battafarano, 91
Girard – A gathering of family and friends will be at St. Anthony of Padua Church Sat. Nov 23, 2013 for a 10 AM mass of Christian burial for Eva Battafarano, 91 who died Wed. morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Eva was born Oct. 2, 1922 in North Pelham, New York. She was the daughter of Alphonso and Livia Tomauro D'Orazio. She was a member of St. Anthony Church and volunteered for many projects at St. Patrick Church in Youngstown. To those who knew her, she was fun loving and the life of the party, especially when surrounded by family. She is survived by a daughter; Lois (Richard) Meszaros, a son; Larry, and two granddaughters; Amy Meszaros and Dr. Amanda (Roger) Meszaros-Nikiforow. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Samuel (Sam) L. Battafarano, whom she married Sep. 6, 1947, died Jan. 20, 2000, two brothers; Ralph and Orlando, and a sister; Louise. The family gives special thanks to her guardian angel; Tilly and Dr. Tofil for the care and compassion shown to Eva and her family during this difficult time, this includes his office staff for always treating her over many years, with kindness and respect.
