Franca A. "Frances" (Petruccione) Luongo

Franca A. "Frances" Luongo, 90, passed away Friday evening, December 6, 2024, at Briarfield at Ashley Circle in Austintown after a brief stay.

Franca was born October 6, 1934 in Castel Di Sasso, Caserta, Italy, a daughter of the late Pietro and Natalina Petruccione, and moved to Youngstown in 1970.

Franca met and married the love of her life, Frank Luongo, on October 6, 1957. Together they originated Firenze Imports in 1977 and Italian Classics in 1992. They were blessed and celebrated 44 years of marriage before Frank's passing, January 20, 2002.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Pete and Cheri Luongo, of Canfield, with whom she made her home, granddaughter Anna Luongo and husband Isaiah Pouliot of Canfield, granddaughter Carmen Luongo of Canfield and her boyfriend, Branson Harrison of Struthers, her sister, Olga Petruccione of Cisterna, Caserta, Italy, and two great-grandpups, Najee and Franco.

Per Franca's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Thursday, December 12, 2024 in St. Rose Catholic Church in Girard. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Frank in Girard Union Cemetery.
