Frank F. Joy

Boardman– Frank F. Joy, passed away at home Monday, September 9, 2024. He was born in Youngstown, to his parents Nicholas and Josephine Herubin Joy. After graduating from The Rayen School, he joined the United States Air Force. Frank worked out of the Laborers Local 125 until his retirement in 1998. He was an avid dog lover and car enthusiast and enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, and vacationing with his family. Frank leaves his wife of nearly 40 years, Anna Zajac Joy whom he married December 14, 1984; his daughters, Debra (Michael) Maluchnik, Denise (Rick) Peiffer, Loni Peace, and Whitney (Anthony DiNunzio) Joy; granddaughter Luci DiNunzio, grandson Michael Garrett, and 7 other grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; his brothers, Nicholas and Felix Joy; his sisters-in-law Mary Lynn (Jerry Seman) Bailey and Kathryn (Osei) Zajac-Owusu; his nephews, AJ and Joseph; and his niece, Leah. He was preceded in death by his parents; his ex-wife, Jacqueline Herring; and his brothers-in-law, Joseph and Robert Zajac. Frank will be buried in Calvary Cemetery.
