Gail Desimone Perno, 69
Athens, GA- A funeral mass was held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, July 5, at the UGA Catholic Center for Gail Desimone Perno who died July 2, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Gail was born in Youngstown on December 13, 1942 to the late Joseph "Pigeon" and Grace Ann Yane Desimone.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Dominic Perno and six children; Donn Dominic (Lane) Perno, David Desimone (Melaney) Perno, Joy Perno (Dodd) Rentz, Joseph Anthony (Leigh) Perno, Julie Perno (Daniel) Yates, and Jessica Perno (Robert) Jones, a sister; Josa (Richard) Davis, a niece; Gayle Davis (Anthony) Cafaro, and 12 grandchildren; Saidee Woodlyn Perno, David Hayes Perno, James "Mac" MacNeill Perno, Dorothy Grace Perno, Diane "Addy" Adelaide Rentz, Lucy Ryan Rentz, Donald "Bo" Dodson Rentz III, Neelie Diane Perno, Leo "Jack" Perno, Trip Sapera Perno, Presley "Danny" Daniel Yates V, and Louise Margaret Yates.
Gail was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a devoted teacher, sister, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all those who loved her.
