Gertrude A. (Mika) Greco

Gertrude A. Greco, 96, of Youngstown, passed away on August 11, 2025. She was born on September 15, 1928, in Youngstown, to Andrew and Gertrude Mika.

A dedicated homemaker, Gertrude was married to the love of her life, Rocco Greco, on November 27, 1948. They shared 47 years of marriage until his passing in 1995.

Gertrude will be remembered for her love of life and her famous spaghetti sauce and cinnamon rolls, which were enjoyed by all who knew her. She was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns and enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, playing bingo and cards, and visiting casinos.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Gabriel, Diane Caye, and Linda Simmons and husband Ken, and her son, Rocky Greco and wife Janet. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rocco, her four brothers Edward, Joseph, Bobbie, John, and sons in law Chuck Caye and Tom Gabriel. She had 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 10:30am in Schiavone Funeral Home officiated by Monsignor Robert Siffrin. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service.
