Giuseppina Panella Ricciardi, 81
Liberty - Giuseppina Panella Ricciardi was born in Dragoni, Caserta, Italy on August 18, 1932.
Giuseppina along with her husband Francesco and their two daughters Pina and Irene emigrated to the United States on February 8, 1970 and settled in Youngstown,  Ohio.
She was a member of St . Anthony church.
Giuseppina was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. A few of her passions were cooking for her family and friends, gardening, canning and crocheting.
She was a strong, dedicated and hard working woman her entire life. Giuseppina worked every day at the family business Jimmy's Italian Specialties on Belmont Avenue up until her untimely death.
Giuseppina (Josephine) was loved by all who met her, and soon became everyone's "nonna". To those who knew her, soon had become familiar with her saying "Mangia, mangia.... If you no like I makea you sometin else"..
On May 10, 2014 at the age of 81, she was finally reunited with the love of her life - her husband Francesco Ricciardi after 18 years, whom passed away on March 28, 1996.
Giuseppina is survived by her four children- Pina Ricciardi Diana and her husband Guido of Dragoni, Caserta, Italy; Irene Ricciardi Occhibove and her husband Girolamo of Youngstown, Ohio; Mariann Ricciardi Daley of Orlando, Florida and Gennaro F. Ricciardi and wife Lisa of Canfield, Ohio.
Eight grandchildren Vincenzo Diana of Dragoni, Caserta Italy, Marilou Occhibove Kocsis, Giuseppe Occhibove,  Francesco Occhibove, Jimmie Occhibove, Francesca Ricciardi, Antonio Ricciardi, Matteo Ricciardi.
Four great grandchildren Raffaella, Fabiana, Guido (whom was known to him as nonna bis), and Gianna.
Only surviving sister Teresa Panella of San Marco, Italy and numerous family members in Italy, Canada and the United States, and her dearest friends Rina DiFiore, Lucille Rich Kesic, and Frank Rulli whom she spoke to on the phone daily.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 5-8 PM and Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 AM at Schiavone Funeral Home. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Entombment will in Lake Park Cemetery.
