James G. Killius Sr., 81
Youngstown – James G. Killius Sr. went home to be with his Lord on Sun. Dec. 16, 2012. He was born on May 21, 1931 to Walter & Caroline Meyers Killius. After attending East High School, he enlisted in the Army with his brother Chuck. On Sept. 20, 1952, he married Antoinette "Toni" Noday and made their home in Brier Hill. They were married for nearly 54 years. Jim was a member of St. Anthony Church and loved gardening. He was known for the size of his garlic and the straightness of his rows. In 1993, Jim retired from United Engineering where he worked as a machine operator and tool and die engineer. He is survived by his children; James, Walter (Tracie) Killius, and Terry (Rich) Evans, six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great great-granddaughter, his sister Laura Lohr, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brothers; Walter and Charles, and a sister; Cecelia. Friends and family may call from 4-7 P.M. on Wednesday and 9:30-10:15 A.M. on Thursday at Schiavone Funeral Home in Youngstown. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. in St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will follow at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
