Joseph Depizzo
May 23, 1935 — January 26, 2017
Hubbard - Joseph DePizzo 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital with his family by his side. Joseph was born in Youngstown on May 23, 1935, a son of Frank DePizzo and Antoinette Cuccarese DePizzo. Mr. DePizzo attended Liberty High School and worked for years at GM Lordstown and for Liberty Local Schools as a bus driver. In retirement, he worked with his son Stephen as a successful landscaper. Papa Joe loved Nascar, Chevy, John Deere, and cutting grass. He is survived by his five children; Joseph (Kari) DePizzo of Boardman, Connie (Harry) Parsons of Norfolk, Virginia, Michael DePizzo, Stephen DePizzo, and Brian (Jennifer) DePizzo all of Liberty, his five grandchildren; Christopher (Kristen Brooks) DePizzo, Patrick DePizzo, Vincent DePizzo, Nora DePizzo, and Nathan DePizzo, his brothers; Dr. Nicholas (Marcia) DePizzo and Guy (Karen) DePizzo both of Liberty, and his sister; Angie DePizzo of Girard. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Norma Jean, and his sister Connie DePizzo. Services for Mr. DePizzo will be at 5:00pm in St. Columba Cathedral on Monday, January 30. Family and friends will gather two hours prior to the mass in the cathedral.
