Josephine Perruzzi Vario, 84
Liberty – A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Monday, June 2, 2014 at 10AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church for Josephine Vario, 84 who died early Friday morning at Liberty Health Care Center. Josephine was born March 19, 1930 in Youngstown, a daughter of Thomas and Angelina DePaul Perruzzi. She was an East High School graduate in 1948, a member of the church, and a home maker known for her pizza and homemade pies. She worked for Geordan Candy Co. for 32 years and then joined the catering staff at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall. Josephine enjoyed spending time with family and friends and had a passion for dancing. She is survived by her husband Samuel J. Vario whom she married Jan. 9, 1954, one daughter; Sandy (Mike) Slimmer, three sons; Vince (Mary) Vario, Tony (Mary Jane) Vario, and Sam (Kathy) Vario, nine grandchildren; Chris, Matt, and Brandon Slimmer, Lisa (Ken) Bielik, Mark, Jason (Katrina), Michael (Jaime), Josh, and Caleb Vario, and two brothers; Angelo and Dante Perruzzi. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters; Philomena Mochella, Mary Yatsco, and Roseann D'Alesio. Family and friends may call Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 4 to 7PM and 8:45 to 9:45 AM Monday at Schiavone Funeral Home. Burial will be in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
