YOUNGSTOWN – Private funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at the Schiavone Funeral Home for Jovanna L. Egnozzi, 76, who died Saturday afternoon at Omni Manor.
"Jonnie Cake" was the daughter of Benjamin and Adeline Burnett Egnozzi.
She worked 20 years in the dietary department of Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She was an avid reader and was interviewed by WYTV for reading a book for a week until she lost her sight. She was also a loyal New York Yankee fan.
She is survived by a sister, Lucille Egnozzi of Youngstown; a brother, Vincent Egnozzi of Palm Springs, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
