Judith K. (Lorton) Jones

Youngstown – A prayer service will be held at 7 pm on Thursday, Oct. 8 in Schiavone Funeral Home for Judith K. Jones, 69 who died Sunday, Oct 4 in St. Elizabeth Health Center. Judith was born in Union City, Indiana on Oct. 18, 1945. She was a daughter of John and Rosella Wilson Lorton. Before moving to Youngstown, Judith lived in Muncie, Indiana. On December 4, 1967 she married Charles C. Jones and together they raised four children. Judith was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and retired from North Side Medical Center in 2011 after 20 years in the food service industry. She was a seamstress and enjoyed crocheting, movies, and spending time with her friends. Judith will be sadly missed by her sons; Jeffrey (Debra) and Daniel Jones, her daughters; Michelle (Edrick) Davis and Jessica Jones, grandchildren; Courtney, Travis, Tyler, Jeffrey, Erick, and Jada, sister; Shirley Conklin, and her feline companions; Mikey and Kitty and was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Charles who died on January 23, 1998, and brother; Philip Lorton. Friends and family will gather in the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 pm. Pastor Barbara Bartholomew will officiate the service.
