YOUNGSTOWN A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, Oct. 23,
2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Schiavone Funeral Home for Kathleen Fanfer,
55, who died Thursday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
"Kathy" was born Jan. 20, 1957, in Youngstown, a daughter of William E. and
Mary Romano Fanfer.
She was a waitress and Goodwill Ambassador at the Avalon Gardens on Belmont
Avenue for many years.
She was a graduate of The Rayen School and enjoyed caring for animals,
cooking, baking gardening, and following sports.
She is survived by four sisters, Anna Marie (David) Wilson, Linda Fanfer,
Cheryl Angel, and Carol Fanfer; two nephews, Joseph McCudden and Kevin
Wilson; a niece, Lauren Angel; and a very dear friend, Nadyne Yanniello.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Fanfer.
A funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. with Monsignor Michael J.
Cariglio officiating.
