Louise A. (Evich) Creatura

Austintown – Mrs. Louise Ann Creatura, 80, died June 23, 2021, in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.

Mrs. Creatura was born August 7, 1940, in Youngstown, a daughter of Raymond and Ann Hohos Evich. She and her late husband, Daniel Creatura, moved to Austintown about 40 years ago, and attended Holy Name and St. Joseph churches.

She was a graduate of Chaney High School. She had worked at the former Livingston's Department Store in downtown Youngstown, and at Taste 'N' Tell Bakery in Austintown.

She saw the beauty and healing power of nature, enjoying gardening and earning an Ohio Master Gardner certification. She volunteered for many years at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Metroparks in several capacities, including as a guide. She loved traveling to Niagara Falls with her family. In her home, Louise was famous with family and friends for cooking with Italian, Croatian and Slovak flavors, specializing in pasta sauces, cabbage and noodles, Croatian potato salad, and beef braciola.

She leaves a son, Adam Creatura of Howland; Ms. Deana Creatura of Austintown; a grandson, Adam Creatura; a sister, Mrs. Arlene (George) Denney of Youngstown; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Her husband, Daniel Creatura, whom she married Oct. 30, 1968, died April 28, 2009.Her sister, Carolyn Stas, died May 28, 2020; and her sister Donna Jean Krasinski, died Sept. 12, 2020.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 28, at Schiavone Funeral Home, 1842 Belmont Avenue, where a prayer service will be offered at 6 p.m.

The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society of Canfield, or the Eastern Regional Kidney Foundation.
