Marie J. Blue, 68

Girard- A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, at St. Anthony Church for Marie J. Blue, 68, who died Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Marie was born December 5, 1944, in Youngstown, a daughter of John H. and Betty A. Damiano Drummond.
She was a homemaker and was a teacher for the Diocese of Youngstown for 25 years, retiring in 1997 from St. Dominic School.
She was a member of the church, its Alter and Rosary Society and its Senior Citizen Club.
After graduating from high school, she received a bachelor's degree in education from Youngstown State University.
Marie took great pride in her family and enjoyed assembling scrapbooks and discovering family history.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene "Gene" Blue, whom she married June 21, 1969; two sons, John T. Blue and Eugene E. Blue, a granddaughter, Elizabeth Blue and a grandson, Damian Blue, all of Girard.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Michael J. Blue. Family and friends may call today, May 9, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday, May 10, 2013, from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the Schiavone Funeral Home.
