Marilouise "Marilou" Stroble, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, at the age of 84 in Canfield, Ohio. Born on October 3, 1940, to Frank and Rose Cifaldi, Marilouise spent the majority of her life in Boardman, Ohio, where she left an indelible mark on her community.
A proud graduate of Ursuline High School's class of 1958, Marilouise pursued higher education at Youngstown State University, earning a degree in Education. Her passion for teaching led to a distinguished career in primary education at St. Luke's Elementary School, where she was honored with the Crystal Apple Award and named Teacher of the Year.
On September 5, 1960, Marilouise married Calvin M. Stroble Jr., with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. Together, they raised three children. Marilouise was a devoted member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Boardman, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and participating in the funeral choir. She was very involved with and spent much of her time caring for her family.
Marilouise was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Calvin, and her parents, Frank and Rose. She is survived by her children: Marie Stroble Discerni and her husband John of Scottsdale, Arizona; Calvin M. Stroble III and his wife Constance of Boardman, Ohio; and Ann F. Brandt and her husband Stephen of Canfield, Ohio. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Emily Discerni, Quinn Discerni, and Marley Brandt.
Funeral services will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Westview Drive on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11 a.m., with a viewing for close friends and family one hour prior. She will be interned at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boardman. We encourage flowers or donations may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital. Marilouise's legacy of love and dedication will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
