Warren – A gathering of family and friends will be Thurs. Jan. 3, 2013 at Warren Church of God from 2-5 p.m. for the waking of Mary J. Coudriet Whitacre, 78 who died Sat. Dec. 29, 2012 in Vista Center at the Ridge. Mary was born April 22, 1934 in DuBois, PA, a daughter of Laurence Henry Graffius and Annabelle Buck. She was a homemaker and was dedicated to raising her family. She enjoyed games of chance, including Bingo and going to the casino. She also took delight in baking and going to the beach. As a gentle soul she will be missed by her six sons; Bill, Gene, James, Glen (Caryn), Tim (Jean), and Dennis, a daughter; Linda, and a sister; Edith Slanina. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; James I. Coudriet and Clarence B. Whitacre, a son; Manuel James and two daughters; Doreen D. Coudriet and an infant; Mary Jane. Services will follow at 5 p.m. with Dr. Steven Sespico officiating. Entombment will be private at Pineview Memorial Park.

I am with you still – I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone-
I am with you still in each new dawn.
