Norvell Bradley Stone

March 10, 1954 — February 8, 2022

Youngstown

Norvell Bradley Stone was born in Middletown, Ohio, March 10, 1954 to Norvell Reid Stone and Wandalyne M. Pugh and entered eternal rest on February 8, 2022 at his home with family members by his side.

He attended Middletown High School and was granted a GED, attended Sinclair College and Youngstown State University. Brad participated in basketball, softball and football during his youth. He loved music and would spend hours listening and updating his music library.

He was united in marriage in 2005 to Jacqueline Myers. Brad was a family man first and foremost, he loved being with the family. The grandchildren and great grandchildren were a highlight of his life. He was very proud of the children and was always ready to cheer them on in their school projects and sports.

Brad was a jack of all trades and worked in many different fields.  He worked as a transportation driver, airport cashier and a mental health counselor to name a few. He remodeled the home he shared with Jackie and was continually painting, cleaning and keeping up on repairs in their home. His flowers were his pride and joy. Each spring you could find him "digging in the dirt" and planting Zeina's for the coming season. He would not tolerate anyone stepping on those precious flowers and all the little ones avoided the flower garden. He also excelled with his house plants. Pruning and repotting as needed, they were never neglected.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jacqueline Stone, his daughters, Rhonda Greathouse and Angela Greathouse of Atlanta Georgia, Dawn Jones, Cecelia (Shondale) Phifer. Jenine Myers, and son, James Myers all of Youngstown; three sisters Doris A. Tate of Youngstown, Teresa D. Thomas and Kimberly Pugh (Carlos Baxley) both of Richmond Virginia, and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Wandalyne M Pugh and father Norvell R. Stone, maternal grandparents Evelyn and Frank Matthers, Sr; paternal grandparents Anna and Neil Stone; brothers Curtis "JC" and Gary Stone.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 12-1pm in Schiavone Funeral Home followed by a funeral service. He will be laid to rest in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
