Paul Myron "Bud" O'Connor Sr., 79

Youngstown-Paul Myron "Bud" O'Connor Sr., 79 passed away early Saturday morning, Jan 4, 2014. He was born on June 17, 1934, in Youngstown, a son of Myron J. and Catherine (Conway) O' Connor. Mr. O'Connor graduated from The Rayen School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army from Oct. 1954 to Oct. 1956, and was stationed in Germany with the 5th Military Police Battalion. He was a lifetime member and retiree of Painters Local Union No. 476. Mr. O'Connor also served with the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department from 1959 to 1963. Married to the former Grace Romeo in 1960, they had two children, Paul Myron Jr. (Marjorie) of Bainbridge Township and Kevin John (Carolyn) of Timberlake, NC. Along with two children, Mr. O'Connor leaves two grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth and Sean Michael. Mr. O' Connor also leaves a brother, Richard (Maureen); numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas (Kathleen). Family and friends may call today, Jan. 7, 2014 from 4-7 P.M. at the Schiavone Funeral Home on Belmont Ave in Youngstown. A funeral service will be held on Wed. Jan. 8, 2014 at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American lung Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
