Paulita Gonzalez, 90
Youngstown – Paulita Gonzalez, 90 passed away Tuesday May 20, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Manuel and Delfina Melendez Gonzalez, born on September 12, 1923 in Cidra, Puerto Rico. She's lived in the states for 60 years, first living in Chicago where she owned a restaurant then moved to Youngstown 18 years ago. Paulita was a home maker and member of St. Columba Cathedral. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She is survived by her daughter; Migdalia Munoz and son in law; Francisco Alvarez of Youngstown, granddaughters; Jeanette (Jesse) Sauceda of Youngstown and Jackie Munoz of Austintown, grandsons; Luis and Franky Munoz of Youngstown and Darrick Alvarez of Boardman, 29 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her long-time love of 37 years, Teofilo Rosa who died October 26, 1999. Family and friends will gather from 3-9 PM at Schiavone Funeral Home on Thursday May 22 and Friday May 23 and from 9-9:45 Saturday morning before procession to St. Columba Cathedral where a mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
