Philomena M. Vargo, 93
Liberty- A mass of Christian Burial will be said on Friday September 14, 2012, at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church for Philomena M. Vargo, 93, formerly of Fairlawn Ave., who died Saturday morning.
She was born on September 14, 1918, in Youngstown, and was a daughter of Joseph and Lucia Biceglia Lariccia. She was a tool and dye maker at the Commercial Shearing and Stamping Co. and for many years worked for her father at the family business, Lariccia Market on E. Rayen Ave. She was a member of the church and has attended East High School.
She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Rominek; grandson, Tim Martin; brother, Benjamin Lariccia; two sisters, Concetta Lariccia and Amelia Marinelli; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph J. Vargo, whom she married July 1, 1950, and died December 24, 1994; a brother, Michael Lariccia; and a sister, Antonette Cafaro.
Friends and family may call one half hour before the mass at the church. Monsignor Robert Sifferin will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
