Robert G. Avila

Robert G. Avila, 68 passed away July 28, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Main Campus after a period of illness.

He was born in Youngstown on March 1, 1957 to his parents, Nicolas and Carmel Tinoco Avila. He was a lifelong area resident and graduated from The Rayen School in 1975. On May 10, 1980, he married Lisa Kodash who was the first love of his life. He met the second love of his life on September 20, 1985 when their daughter was born. Bob adored her. They enjoyed attending concerts and working on home improvement projects together. He also enjoyed watching football and gardening.

Bob was a family man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to either a friend or a stranger. He was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves his wife of 45 years and their daughter, Staci; his sisters, Linda Avila and Sylvia Berbigler; his brothers, Michael Avila and Ed Avila; his aunt, Fran Wilson along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, work family at Tri Logic in Darlington, PA; and his beloved cat, Smudge and grand-cat, Coconut.
