Boardman-Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 11A.M. in Schiavone Funeral Home for Robert A. Bonhoff, 53 who died Tuesday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman Campus. Robert was born June 19, 1959 in East Orange, New Jersey. He was the son of Walter J. and Mary E. Marino Bonhoff. He was a truck driver for Allied Waste for 34 years where he was a Shop Steward since 1995 and negotiated five contracts. He was a member of the teamsters local 377 and a trustee from 2008-2012. Robert was a 1978 graduate of Chaney High School and a former member of Boardman community baseball and its board of directors, also serving as a coach. He truly was an avid Jets fan. He is survived by his mother, his wife, the former Colleen Corbett whom he married September 26, 1980, a son Scott E. (Lori) Bonhoff, a daughter Robin M. Bonhoff, a granddaughter Danielle F. Bonhoff, a brother Walter (Pam) Bonhoff of Fl., six sisters Loraine (James) Gaffney of FL., Mary E. Conroy, Helen Knopich, and Patricia (Steve) Borovitcky all of Youngstown, Barbara Lotto of Canfield and Marilyn Heginbotham of Youngstown. He was preceded in death by his father and sister Virginia L. Brown. Friends may call Friday, September 21, 2012 from 5-8 P.M. and 10-11 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
