Liberty – A Christian Burial Rite will be said by Father Michael Swierz at 10AM Fri Sept. 12 2014 at Schiavone Funeral Home for Robert T. Tarantino, 69 who died Sunday morning at his residence.  Robert was born Aug. 20, 1945 in Youngstown, a son o f Frank A. and Mary A. Rainer Tarantino. He was a 1963 graduate of The Riverside Military Academy and was later discharged from the US Army Reserve in 1973. As a highly motivated entrepreneur Robert opened and operated his own optical lab for many years. "BT" as he was known by many, was a fashionable dresser and enjoyed games of chance. He is survived by his wife; Darlene de-la Rosa whom he married Aug. 2, 1969, their three children; Frank (Kara) Tarantino, Stacie Armstrong, and Laurie (Jeff) Castel, six grandchildren, three sisters; Teresa (Carl) Venzeio, Jan (Ted) Bosh, and Judy (Chuck) Ziegler. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frank A. Tarantino. Friends and family will gather on Thursday Sept 11, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belmont Park Cemetery.
