Ronald Hill, 71
Niles – There will be a memorial and committal service Wed. Nov. 5, 2014 at 11 AM in Crown Hill Memorial Park Chapel for Ronald Hill, 71 who died early Thurs. morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center. Ron was born April 4, 1943 in Johnstown, PA. He was the son of Jack Easton Hill and Ann Rose Toth. Coming to Youngstown as a youngster, Ron worked 30 years in the credit department of East Ohio Gas Company. He was a 1961 graduate of the Rayen School and was proud of his Smoky Hollow roots. He was very active playing softball and bocce winning many championships. Ron coached Northside Knights football and was a US Army Veteran. He golfed with the East Ohio Gas retirees, was a member of the Army and Navy Garrison No. 422 in Girard, was an artist specializing in landscapes, and a classic car devotee. Ron is survived by his wife, the former Sandra J. Sanchez whom he married April 8, 1967, a son; Jason R. (Jennifer) Hill, a daughter; Marla (Christopher) Zelinsky, 5 grandchildren; Hailey Zelinsky, William Bingle, Tyler Hill, Jason Hill, and Samuel Hill, and a brother; Jack Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ron was a kind hearted man who would help anyone in need and for that he will be sadly missed by many. His family would like to give special thanks to Michael DeSantis and Tim and Marsha Kind for their support and friendship during Ron's illness. Family and friends will gather a half hour before the services at the chapel with the Rev. Frank Zanni officiating.
