Rose M. (Cardelein) Mckula

Youngstown- A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church for Rose M. McKula, 83 who died Tuesday November 29th at her residence. Rose was born August 18, 1933 in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of Philip A. and Mary R. Nardozzi Cardelein coming to Youngstown in 1936, she was a graduate of Chaney High School in 1950 and one of two beauty culture schools located in downtown Youngstown, being The School of Beauty Culture or The Paramount Beauty Academy. As an Italian she shared her baking and cooking skills for family and friends. She also enjoyed bus tours, polka dancing, and was a member of ITAM post 3. She is survived by her husband, Eugene E. McKula whom she married April 14, 1956, three daughters; Katherine (Mark) Williams, Patricia (Steve) Burbrink, and Susan (Jim) Krawchyk, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother; Philip L. Cardelein, four sisters; Amelia Pesut, Nancy Sheronovick, Sue Slovkovsky, and Carmel Thornton. She was preceded in death by her parents. Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday and 9-9:45 a.m. on Friday at Schiavone Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
