Sam Frasco, 89
Liberty- A mass of Christian burial will be said at 10:00 a.m. Saturday Nov. 24, 2012 in Saint Anthony of Padua Church for Sam Frasco who died in St. Elizabeth Health Center the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012. Sam was born Aug. 17, 1923 in Youngstown, a son of Salvatore and Anna Caldarone Frasco. He was an inspector for U.S. Steel Corp. McDonald Works, retiring in 1981 with 40 years of service. He was a member of Saint Anthony and a former member of Saint Rocco Episcopal Church where he served on its vestry and was a volunteer at the monthly spaghetti dinners and feast day activities until its closing. As an Army veteran, he bravely served in the 164th infantry in the Asian-Pacific Theater from 1943 to 1945. Sam is survived by his wife; the former Mary Guerriero whom he married on Aug. 30, 1952, a son; Samuel (Barbara) Frasco of Howland, a daughter; Anne Moran of Boardman, and a grand-daughter; Kaitlin Moran also of Boardman. He was preceeded in death by his parents and a brother; Ralph Frasco. Family and friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the Schiavone Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts in Sam's memory can be made to Saint Anthony of Padua Church Building Fund c/o 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, OH 44510. Burial will be at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
