Sean "Big S" Patrick Ungaro, 39
Youngstown-Sean "Big S" Patrick Ungaro, 39, passed away early Sunday morning, Oct. 21, 2012. Sean was born Feb. 21, 1973, in Youngstown, and was the son of Theresa (Filipowictz) and Patrick Ungaro. Sean was a lifelong resident of Youngstown and a 1991 graduate of Ursuline High School. He was previously employed at UPS, General Motors, and prior to his passing Coronado Steel. Sean was a loving and caring person and had a personality and charisma that filled a room. He was a loyal and dedicated father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, and friend who could be counted on for a hand, a kind word, and always a joke and hardy laugh when it was needed the most. Sean enjoyed nature and fishing, especially with his son. Sean also enjoyed cooking for the family and took pride in his barbecue sauce that he made on special occasions for family gatherings. Sean loved his family and most importantly spending time with his son, nieces, and nephews. Sean will be greatly missed by his son Sean Jr.; brother Eric (Nannette) Ungaro; and sisters Candice (James) Jones and Renee Ungaro, all of Youngstown. He was a beloved uncle who will be missed by his 10 nieces and nephews, Gina and Carly Ungaro, Allyson, Gregory, Patrick, and James Jones, Theresa and Anthony Garono, and Kristian Whetzel. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many friends. Sean was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Filipowictz and Victor and Mary Ungaro. The Ungaro family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Schiavone Funeral Home and will receive friends on Thursday, October 25 from 4-8 p.m. Sean will be given a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 a.m. Funeral services will begin and end at the church. Burial will be private.
