Shirley A. (Hixson) Bosak

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 1pm in Schiavone Funeral Home for Shirley A. Bosak, 71 who died February 4, 2021. Shirley was born January 28, 1950 in Youngstown and graduated from The Rayen School in 1968. She was a daughter of James Hixson and Bessie Woods. She was employed as a bar maid at The Rebel Bar and in housekeeping at The Econo Lodge Motel.  She enjoyed being a homemaker, always being there for family and friends. In her spare time she did crossword puzzles, word search, and was an amateur detective. She is survived by a daughter, Debra (Jeffrey) Jones; two sons, Larry (Cathy) Bosak and Allan Bosak; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Lejune and Lois Musgrave; and a brother, Rusty Hixson. She was preceded in death by her parents James Hixson and Bessie DeWen; and brothers, Larry Hixson and Jimmy Hixson. The family would like to give a special thank you to The Blood and Cancer Center of Canfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to HealthWell Foundation or Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation in Shirley's memory.
