Therese (Loverinoff) Logorda

Therese Logorda, 84, passed away peacefully July 23rd at home. She was born in Youngstown on October 4th, 1939, to her parents Michael and Irene Madacsi Loverinoff. Terry was a 1957 graduate of Ursuline High School and a 1974 graduate of Choffin School of Nursing. In her later years, she worked as a clerk for Wonder Bakery. On September 8, 1962 she married John Logorda and together they had eight children. She was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church where she served as lector and taught CCD. Terry loved to shop. She especially loved thrift stores and garage sales and going to her favorite Chinese buffet in the Boardman Plaza. She enjoyed trips to Amish Country and gardening with her great-granddaughter, Everleigh but most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. Terry is survived by her children, John of NJ, Linda of Youngstown, Lisa (Jeff) of Austintown, Erin (Mike) of IL, Christopher (Amy) of Youngstown, and Noelle of Poland; her grandchildren, Melanie, John (Stephanie), Mary (Todd), Emmarose, Samantha, Jeffrey, Michael Matthew (Zoe), Michael David, Maile, Chris, Ben, and Mazie; her great-grandchildren, Carmella, Bella, John, Kai, Aubrey, Blake, Alexandra, Harper Mae, Brody, Samuel, and her best friend, Everleigh; her siblings, Michael (Kathie), Denise (Tim), and Hopeanne; Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John who passed away July 17th, 1991, and her sons, Kevin David who passed away August 10th, 1965 and Michael Jude who passed on April 30, 1989. Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 1:30 pm in the Franciscan Shrine of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted, 617 S. Belle Vista Ave Youngstown, for a memorial service.
