Dianne Gagliano passed away with family by her side on September 24. She was born July 17, 1942, to Imro and Donna Cupar Novak. A 1960 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, she went on to earn a degree in Education from Youngstown College and became a teacher in the Youngstown City and Campbell School districts. She put her career aside to raise her three children, as the selfless person she was. Dianne reinvented her work later in life as a medical assistant to be able to help others. Being kind and generous was her nature, going out of her way to help family and friends. Her many cousins, nieces and nephews were a source of joy and she liked sending cards to commemorate birthdays and holidays. She was a remarkable cook and delighted in Sunday dinners with family. She enjoyed reading, painting and creating crafts and growing her vegetable garden – and also casino trips to Las Vegas. Dianne is survived by her loving husband, Carmen Gagliano whom she married January 28, 1967. Children Thomas Gagliano and Dawn Gagliano Bartlett (Edward) and the jewel of the family, granddaughter Christin Gagliano will miss her so. She is also survived by siblings Patricia (Thomas) Dawson, David (Sue) Novak and Maryellen (Randy) Wright. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Frank Gagliano. Family and friends will gather from 10:30am to 1:00pm in Schiavone Funeral home on Saturday, November 6. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in Dianne’s memory.
