Austintown - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11:00am in St. Anthony of Padua Church for Frank Ruggiero Jr., 85, who passed away December 19th in Shepherd of the Valley.
Frank was born in Youngstown on May 24, 1936, a son of Frank and Mary Grainy Ruggiero. He was a graduate of The Rayen School, a longtime parishioner of the church, and a veteran of the Ohio Army National Guard. Frank was employed by Wean United and Sparkle Market. In addition to being an avid Notre Dame fan, he enjoyed bowling, golfing, and woodworking. He found peace in yard work and gardening and his hot peppers will be sadly missed. He loved spending time with family.
Frank leaves his children, Frank (Subhashini) Ruggiero, Karen (Wells) Gladding, Annette (Charles) Arneman, and Cathy (Mark) Matash; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Chris, Antamella, Auggie, and Janet.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years, the former Barbara Palermo; and his siblings, John, Dominic, Philomena, and Ralph.
Family and friends will call from 9-10:45am on Wednesday in Schiavone Funeral Home.
